THERAPY IN PLANO, TX
A place where the hard questions are welcome & real growth is possible.
Supporting adults and couples navigating anxiety, stress, relationships, depression, & more.
You want things to make sense again.
Maybe you’ve been weighed down by disappointment, pressure, loneliness, or unanswered questions for longer than anyone else realizes. You’ve tried it all—push through, pray harder, think differently, communicate better, keep everyone else happy…but underneath it all, the feeling of being completely overwhelmed and unsure how to fix things from here is still nagging you.
You might be here because you’re wondering why…
You can’t turn your mind off
Life doesn’t feel like what you hoped, planned, or prayed for
Your relationships feel extremely complicated
You feel guilty for setting boundaries (or even considering them)
There’s a distance between you and God or the people you love
The same painful patterns keep happening, and it’s starting to shake your confidence (and your faith might feel harder to hold onto than it once was). Deep down, you know you can’t keep dealing with this the same way forever.
The path ahead may seem difficult to understand right now, but that doesn’t mean hope isn’t there.
a clear path forward
Hi, I’m Laura.
Growth begins when we move beyond simply understanding what’s happening and start making intentional changes that move life forward.
Taking time to understand a person’s entire story often becomes a catalyst for meaningful change. That’s why I work from a holistic perspective—considering faith, family, culture, relationships, and personal history together to better identify and understand the patterns that shape your life and experiences.
For most of my clients, their Christian faith is an important part of how they understand themselves and the struggles they’re navigating. My background in both clinical and biblical counseling allows me to thoughtfully integrate those values into therapy while also approaching emotional health with honesty, nuance, and clinical expertise.
Therapy with me is way more than just venting and returning the next week with little to no change. You need more than that. Here, we focus on the kind of insight that leads to lasting change—not just temporary relief. I want you to leave therapy with greater clarity, healthier patterns, and a deeper sense of peace that continues long after our work together ends.
MY SPECIALTIES
-
Anxiety can make it feel like your mind never gets a break. You may find yourself replaying conversations, overthinking decisions, carrying pressure from every direction, or feeling exhausted just trying to keep everything under control.
Therapy can help you slow the mental spiral, better understand what’s driving the anxiety, and begin feeling more grounded and capable again.
-
Sometimes couples come to therapy after years of feeling “off.” They’re disconnected, misunderstood, or cycling through the same painful arguments again and again. Other times, something significant like infidelity, conflict with extended family, or growing emotional distance has made it clear that things need to change.
Couples therapy offers a safe space to reset, dive beneath the surface, and begin rebuilding trust, communication, and connection together.
-
When life starts feeling heavier than it should, it’s easy to stop feeling like yourself and lose the energy to keep “pushing through.” Depression may be something you’ve carried for a long time or an unwelcome companion that showed up unexpectedly and changed the way you’ve moved through life.
Therapy can help you get “unstuck,” bring some light back into your life, and make sense of what you’re carrying so you can find your footing again.
-
Constantly feeling responsible for keeping the peace, struggling to speak up for yourself, pushing people away, or repeating the same painful patterns can make any relationship feel exhausting.
Whether you’re navigating family conflict, dating, friendships, marriage, caregiving challenges, or people-pleasing tendencies, therapy can help you better understand yourself, communicate more confidently, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
