    The length of the counseling process varies for everyone depending on the issues being addressed.

    You and your counselor will work with together to develop an individualized plan to determine the length and frequency of counseling that best fits your needs.

  • Your counselor wants to get to know and understand more about your background including what led you to take this step so the focus of an initial counseling session is history-gathering, building trust, and developing a personalized counseling plan.

    By the end of your first session, you and Dr. McKee will work together to clarify next steps in your counseling journey.

  • Counseling requires an investment of time, energy, and finances. It is a big step towards reaching personal and emotional growth goals. The cash rate of a 50-minute session with Laura is $175.

    Laura is also an in-network provider for individual counseling with UHC and Aetna. She is an out-of-network provider for all other insurance.

  • Dr. McKee is currently licensed to provide professional counseling services for anyone in the state of Texas or Louisiana.

  • Laura McKee meets with adolescents ages 16 and up. If you have questions about counseling for your child, please contact us to learn more.

  • Laura McKee is an in-network provider with Aetna and UHC for individual counseling. We can also provide a superbill as an out-of-network provider for you to submit to your insurance upon request. McKee Counseling also accepts payment by debit, credit, FSA, and HSA cards.
